112 pins. 33 of them made it onto my “must-see” list. That’s how many places I marked on my map while planning my trip to Antwerp. And after many hours of walking, here’s my honest warning: if you’re into street art, murals, or graffiti, one visit to Antwerp won’t be enough.

Where to Find Street Art in Antwerp
Antwerp is absolutely packed with street art. If murals are your thing, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy. More into throw-ups, tags and graffiti? You’re covered too. Or maybe, like me, you’re always looking for street art in its raw, independent form? Well, I also have some good news.
Below, I’ve shared some of my favourite finds from Antwerp.
But if you follow this route, you’ll come across far more than what’s on this list. So grab a day ticket, hop on a tram whenever your feet give up, and start exploring what I genuinely think is Belgium’s coolest city.
The Best Murals in Antwerp
Below, I’m sharing the murals I managed to see in one day (…and the evening before). Of course, that’s not everything I saw. I have mercy. Anyway, the murals are listed in the order I saw them.
We arrived in Antwerp in the early evening, but since it was June and 9 p.m. still felt like broad daylight, we went for a little walk.
Dreamin’ by Larsen Bervoets 📌 Eikenstraat 4-10

There’s a second part of this mural on the opposite wall, but unfortunately it’s badly damaged. 🙁 Still, the neighbourhood is perfect for wandering around. Just be prepared to stop every few steps to admire all the art along the way.
Joachim & k.shit 📌 Vleminckveld 66

Tijsje Revalk 📌 IJzerenwaag 3

A lot of paintings were made on electricity boxes.

Then it was time to take the last photos in decent daylight (or what still counted as evening light).

Dzia 📌 Vleminckstraat 6

We All Live With HIV by Larsen Bervoets 📌 Oude Beurs 17

Invader 📌 Grote Markt / Wisselstraat

After taking every photo we could, we walked around, admiring the architecture and imagining what it would be like to live there. Once we were done daydreaming, we grabbed a few Belgian beers and headed back to our air-conditioned hotel room.
The next day started quite early because we didn’t want to miss anything important. We hopped on a tram and headed to the Lambrechtshoeken (if you know Antwerp better than me and you see that I’m lying with the name, please let me know in a comment section!) area, where we didn’t see that many murals but the ones we did see were really, really good!
Floating through memory by SMOK 📌 Groenendaallaan 268

But the Warrior 📌 Columbiastraat 4

Bue’s mural was the main reason we visit this part of Antwerp. It was totally worth it!
Phlegm 📌 Columbiastraat 8A

Have I told you about the utility boxes yet?
Jonathan De Vos for Tour Elentrik festival

After an unsuccessful breakfast hunt, we moved on to the Merksem neighbourhood.
Remove the Skin by Mundana & Francisco Maturana 📌 Bredabaan 298A

Nefast & SMOK & Bird 📌 Constant de Jongstraat 62

Beauty beneath the Mask by Joachim & Nils Westergard 📌 Constant de Jongstraat 6

Speaking of breakfast… we ended up in a place I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Luckily, the murals made up for it, so it didn’t really matter.
Sweet Embrace by Krimson 📌 Gagelveldenstraat 111

BLIND by Matthew Dawn for mArk some festival 📌 Sint-Bartholomeusstraat 142

There were many more murals along this wall, but unfortunately they were partly blocked by parked cars.
And then it was time for another change of scenery: Berchem! Home to the mural I’d been waiting soooo long to see in person.
Catification by SMOK 📌 Walemstraat 63

Besides this amazing, iconic cat, we found plenty more SMOK murals in the area.
Peepin’ Panda by SMOK 📌 Klauwaardsstraat 30

Goldcrest by SMOK 📌 Driekoningenstraat 132

By lunchtime, we decided it was finally time to eat something. Naturally, after the meal, we were continuing mural hunting.
Travel Tip: We mostly lived on Belgian fries and waffles during this trip, but in Antwerp we found a really nice bagel place called Vitesse Coffee & Cycling. It’s run by people who are genuinely passionate about bikes, and they made us feel very welcome. Even though we’re definitely not hardcore cycling enthusiasts. As a bonus, there’s even another mural by SMOK inside!
Hello Pigeons by Super A 📌 Haringrodestraat 104

Dreams in bloom by TUZQ 📌 Dodoensstraat 24

Rise One 📌 Kroonstraat 22

Equality by Pink Painter for Walls of BoHo project 📌 Hogeweg 17

We spotted our last murals on the way to the bus station before heading to Brussels. You could say we officially wrapped up our Antwerp adventure around 6 p.m. Was it enough time? Absolutely not! But it was a pretty good start.

Antwerp Street Art: Everything You Need to Know
How long does the Antwerp street art walk take?
I spent almost two full days exploring Antwerp’s street art, and it was time well spent. Did I see everything? Not really.
If you’re mainly interested in murals, two days should be enough. But if you’re anything like me and stop for every sticker, stencil, or painted utility box, give yourself three days. Are you into graffiti? Hmm.. these two days will be packed!
Made it this far?
That’s impressive. Maybe you should reward me with a good damn coffee? 👀
Is Antwerp worth visiting for street art?
Absolutely.
Antwerp has officially joined the list of street art destinations I want to visit more than once. And I really hope I’ll make it happen.
So, when are you visiting?
