If you’re planning to be in Warsaw in July, I highly recommend visiting the Urban Art Area. It’s the biggest urban art review in Poland, organized by the Leonarda Art Gallery.
In this article, I’ll share how it went in 2025. Hopefully, next year you’ll want to join and experience it for yourself.

#1 Reason: The Number of Artists
Everybody knows that the quality is more important than quantity. Except… in the case of the Urban Art Area, both matter equally. You might wonder why. Well, this art review featured more than 50 artists. When was the last time you had the chance to see so many works by so many different creators all in one place?

It’s also worth remembering that this is a REVIEW, meaning that around every corner a new style and topic was waiting for you.
For the record, I’m usually a fan of exhibitions focused on a single theme. But it’s refreshing to have the opportunity, once a year, to experience such a light, discovery-filled review. It felt like scrolling through Instagram – a vibrant mix that keeps you watching without pause.
#2 Reason: Artists Selection
Let’s be honest – if the organizers focused only on the quantity, this review wouldn’t be nearly as popular. Luckily, that’s not the case. At Urban Art Area. you’ll find works from truly amazing artist. While not every great street artists from Poland was present, the overall lineup was still very impressive. Sepe, Fruit of the Lump, Gu-Tang Clan, Noriaki, Rojber, Nespoon, Bartek Stypka, Biosme Brocki – the list goes one.

In addition to street art, there were also a few pieces from graffiti artists. For me, the biggest surprise was seeing works from the Twożywo group, who haven’t been active for a long time.
#3 The Other Side of the Artists
It was so cool to see the artists in the different light compared to their usual street work. The pieces on canvas had a completely different vibe. I adore street art but it’s great to get to know the artist better and discover their other skills.

Beyond just the canvas format, I appreciated how each artist’s space was arranged during the Urban Art Area. So you can admire the whole setup. Some artists treated their space like a traditional gallery wall, while others went wild with imagination. I’m especially a fan of Gu-Tang Clan’s booth. Every year he brings something completely new. His space always feel like a complete, immersive installation. Stepping inside is like visiting his workshop.

#4 Smooth Logistics
Now, let’s talk practical staff – this year’s review took place in the iconic Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw. The building itself is stunning, both inside and out, and the artworks looked absolutely incredible in its interiors.

Another big plus is the ticket price. I paid 30 PLN for a regular ticket, which feels very fair considering the sheer amount of art you get to experience. I spent well over an hour there, or maybe even two? I am not sure – time just flew by.
There’s also a merch shop, which is always a nice touch.
And last but not least, every artwork from the review is available for purchase. So, if you’re looking for something special for your living room, it might be time to start saving up.
#5 A Good Reason to Discover More!
If Urban Art Area is your first encounter with street art, it’s the perfect starting point for exploring more. And I don’t just mean inside galleries. I’m talking about real exploring, out on the streets!

Meet the artists at the review, and then go search for their works in your own city, or my city, or any other city across Poland, Europe and even the world. It’s pure fun which allows you to know better most cities from a different, more alternative and less touristic perspective.
