The most frequent question I hear from my friends outside the city, right after “What to do in Lodz?” is “Where to eat in Lodz?”. So, if you are reading this, we probably know each other. 😉 Anyway, below you will find my recommendations for restaurants in Lodz. I choose places where it is easy to order (hello, introvert here!), the food is delicious, and there are vegetarian/vegan and pescatarian options are available.
Last update: SEPTEMBER 2025
By the way, I am not part of Foodstagram. So don’t expect any food porn here. You remember that is the blog about street art, right? 😉
Find out where to:
- Get some simple and hearty food.
- Spend more time enjoying a fancy eating experience.
- Drink damn good coffee.
- Grab something on the go with you.
- Go out for a drink or two.
Get some simple and hearty food
Niebostan, Piotrkowska 17
A great alternative and vegan place where you eat something good for a late breakfast, lunch and also in the evening. I usually take toast or a bagel here. However, if you’re dying from hunger, I recommend the ‘buła” (huuuuge sandwiches). They are large and excellent. Here you can also enjoy a good beer, coffee or yerba.
Caffe Przy Ulicy, Nawrot 1a
Breakfast all day long! And so much to choose from! The prices are also fair. Caffe Przy Ulicy is the best thing since sliced bread, isn’t it? The only issue of this place is the queue during weekends. There are a few locations of Caffe Przy Ulicy in Lodz but this one at Nawrot 1a is the closest to Piotrkowska street. There are vegan options here.
Zielony Chrzan, Żwirki 8
A sushi roll and miso soup for lunch? Why not! Zielony Chrzan is one of my favorite Asian, or I can say Japanese restaurants in Lodz. Unfortunately, this place doesn’t have much to offer for vegetarians, just like Japan.
Koleżanki Cafe, Tramwajowa 17B/U3
Simplicity and good prizes. Lately is one of my favourite breakfast spot!
Sznycelek, Pomorska 84A
Classic Polish homemade cuisine at good prices. Vegans will also find good food here, like potato pancakes.
Rajskie Jadło Bałuty, Zachodnia 27
My latest discovery. A really nice place close to Manufaktura. Here you can get vegetarian Polish soups and fries inspired by local cuisine. I tried their fries with cottage cheese. 🙂

ZaParowani, Wschodnia 37
DIM SUM Asian Dumpling House is a very cool option for a quick lunch. Meat and veg options are available.
Spend more time enjoying a fancy eating experience
Bistro 21, Piotrkowska 67
A simple, short menu, perfect for the breakfast or late-night wine snacks. Hidden away in one of Piotrkowska’s most charming courtyards.

Ato Ramen, Roosevelta 6
One of the best in ramen in Poland, with vegan options! In addition to the broth, you’ll get the packed fries (with shrimp or kimchi) and drinks here.
Susharnia, Pomorska 13
It is a unique place, off the Piotrkowska street, inspired by the Japanese culture. Here you will find sushi, ramen and bowls, with vegan options. I was here once, but I will come back for sure.
Ramenownia by Susharnia, Piotrkowska 89
If my husband and I fancy ramen and there is a long queue at Ato Ramen, we always go to Ramenownia. It’s a good alternative! The portions are solid and tasty. They also offer Japanese beer and wine. There are usually two vegan options to choose from.
Ferment Pizza i Krany, Piotrkowska 99
The place serves only pizza, but what an amazing kind of pizza! The menu is seasonal, so it’s worth coming back here. The owner of the Ferment also runs Ato Ramen and Ato Sushi.

Ato Sushi, 6 Sierpnia 1/3
For me, number one when it comes to sushi in Lodz. Great service, amazing flavors and the vibe!
Dzielna 43, Narutowicza 43
Another pizza place, this time Neapolitan. The name of the restaurant is interesting, as is its logo, which is a drawing of the Lodz architect Gustaw Landau-Gutenteger. The name Dzielna is the former name of Narutowicza Street, where the restaurant is located. Thus, the restaurant refers to Lodz’s architectural wealth.
However, the restaurant doesn’t just look back, as here pizzas are served to tables by a cat robot.
Senioritas Restaurant & Lounge, Moniuszki 1A
Modern Mexican and American cuisine. Here the food and service are premium! There are definitely more meat options, but seafood lovers and vegetarians will also find something for themselves here.
Aloha Poke, Mickiewicza 15A (closed in October 2025)
A hidden spot among the skyscrapers, not easy to find. Here, you will eat satisfying bowls.
Montag Bistro & Deli, Piotrkowska 78
In this place, you will find only a few breakfast sets, but luscious ones! Montag became famous for their bread. The price is not the lowest, the bread itself tastes outstanding.
Ramki, Piotrkowska 144
If you can’t find a place at Café Przy Ulicy or Montag then direct your steps to Ramki. Here you’ll discover Lodz-inspired sets. Although I’m not a fan of their classic menu, I can safely recommend the breakfasts.
Ukryte Rzeki, Piotrkowska 295A
I have not been in this restaurant yet, but there is no one among my friends who would not recommend going there. Rather in a higher price range, but also for a good reason. They specialise in modern fusion cuisine.
Ristorante Mare e Monti, Wigury 13
The best Italian restaurant in Lodz. Professional and friendly service, excellent food, and delicious wine. During the week there should be no problem with finding a seat, but on the weekend it is better to make a reservation.
JOAYO K-FOOD, Piotrkowska 16
One of the newest places in Lodz serving Korean set lunches. Not many vegan options, but it is nice to explore Korean culture in a Polish city.
LAS, Piotrkowska 101
A restaurant with plant-based cuisine. I’ve only been once, but I have good memories from that dinner.
Heksagon, Pomorska 144
A little off Piotrkowska street. It’s on the pricey side but totally worth it! Staff, food, vibe… all spot on. My advice – if you want to save some money, go there during restaurant week. 😉

Drink damn good coffee
Owoce i Warzywa, Traugutta 9 & Piotrkowska 217
My friends who drink speciality coffee say that here is the best coffee you can get in Lodz. Owoce i Warzywa has two locations. Besides coffee, you can come here for a glass of wine and a vegan bagel.

Przędza, Piotrkowska 107
I like this place for several reasons. Even though it is on Piotrkowska Street, it is hidden in a courtyard, and you can take a chill pill there. There is a cat house next to the cafe’s door. It is the property of the cat Balbina. If you are lucky, she let you stroke her. I visit Przedza mainly in the summer because they have a lot of versions of tonic espresso. Kinie espresso, for example.

Szykier Coffee & Bistro, Północna 1/3
This is a cafe with both history and an amazing interior. It owes its name to the Szykier couple, who owned the building until 1939. In addition to coffee, you can have a bagel or croissant. I recommend in the summer to sit in the courtyard, among the high, cold and old walls of the building.

Niebieskie Migdały, Sienkiewicza 40
This is a place with tea more than coffee, but I recommend it for you because the magic happens inside. I will not say more, you have to experience it yourself. I would like to highlight that I praise Niebieskie Migdały even though I am not fond of tea.
The White Bear Coffee, Traugutta 2
A chain coffee shop but with a cool interior full of nooks and crannies. If you need to take a breather or have a quiet conversation with someone, I highly recommend it.

Słodko nie Słodko, Wschodnia 69 (closed)
This cafe has an absolutely local vibe. You can buy homemade bread here but you can also sit down and have a cup of coffee. Just be careful when you are planning to visit this coffee shop because it doesn’t operate every day.
Kawka Między Innymi, POW 17
Great coffee (speciality available) and amazing bagels. What more do you need in the Saturday morning?
Grab something on the go with you
Um, in this category, I don’t have too many recommendations. Although on Piotrkowska Street itself, you will find plenty of kebabs, places with doughnuts or pretzels, or even corn dogs. However, if I’m going to eat something on the run, it has to be delicious and filling. On my list, I have four such spots.
Zapiekanki Kingsajz, Sienkiewicza 15
At a fair price, the crispy toast with fresh ingredients, from a lady who came to Lodz from Gdansk. Kingsajz is next to Fabryczna train station. And to top it off, the decor was inspired by one of the movies made in Lodz – Kingsajz.
Łódzka Drożdżówka Piotrkowska 133 / QUASĄ Piotrkowska 128
Two points with baked goodies, lying opposite each other on Piotrkowska Street. The selection and prices are similar, so you have to judge for yourself which of these places fits you better.
Sushi w dłoń, Traugutta 14
The restaurant with modern Asian cuisine. Here, you will find only a few vegan options, but you will get your food quite fast. I can really recommend their hand rolls – you can easily take them away, but still – not many vegan options. 😓
Go out for a drink or two
Winni, Piotrkowska 93
My number one when it comes to going out for a drink. Excellent wine, snacks to go with it, good prices, decent music. But cherry on top – rose petals in the women’s bathroom. I adore Winni.
Kaskada, Narutowicza 7/9
Visiting this bar is like traveling in time. Loud talks, loud music, everywhere students and people from the Erasmus program. Here I am a student again!
Piwoteka Narodowa Craft Beer & Food Traugutta 4
A craft beer spot. I prefer to visit this places during autumn and winter because outside you will hear car lovers who are passing by with their loud engines.

Spirit Bar in Puro Hotel, Ogrodowa 16
Perfect spot for a drink in the summer. Spirit Bar is located on the hotel’s roof. They offer not only standard drinks but also drinks inspired by movies.

6 dzielnica, Piotrkowska 102
This place has a vibe like the bars I visited while living in Krakow. Located in a tenement house on Piotrkowska Street. It looks more like a large apartment than a pub.
OFF Piotrkowska, Piotrkowska 138/140
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best. That’s why in the summer I recommend going simply for a beer at OFF Piotrkowska. Just relax and enjoy Lodz.

Willa w Parku, Żeromskiego 117
A place with coffee and beer in Poniatowski Park. In the summer, an ideal place to hide from the heat and city noise. From time to time techno parties happen here.

If it is not enough for you?
No worries. Lodz has much more to offer. I will try to update this article regularly. But in the meantime, you should keep your eyes peeled and explore Lodz restaurants yourself. Everyone is different so there is a chance that you will prefer other places. But who is gonna forbid us to talk about our preferences? 😉
